As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Foundry Haus, J.B. brings extensive expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the real estate development process. His experience plays a critical role in ensuring precise execution, risk mitigation, and partnership success.
J.B. began his career in the practice of law in litigation and real estate transactions, and prior to forming Foundry Haus, J.B. served as President and Chief Operating Officer for a nationally recognized and vertically integrated market rate and affordable housing developer. In his tenure, J.B. has experience in the execution of over 100 multifamily developments across 21 states and nearly 14,000 units, representing $2.9B in total costs and 14.9mm square feet. J.B. has led and managed all aspects of multifamily development throughout his career, including market targeting, deal sourcing, investment committee, entitlements, architectural design and engineering, deal structuring, capital raising, closing, construction management, asset management, refinancing, and dispositions.
J.B. regularly serves as a case competition mentor, judge, and speaker for the Indiana University Center for Real Estate Studies and NAIOP Indiana. He is also a member of ULI’s Multifamily Local Product Council.
J.B. holds a JD from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a BS in Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Indiana.
